Hello! I’m Lucy, an enthusiastic English teacher from Cornwall, and I am proud to create bespoke, engaging lessons for every single one of my students. 

From 2015 to 2020, I taught English alongside my studies to both individuals and groups in a classroom setting. During this time, I gained valuable experience in adapting work to suit neurodiverse students as well as personalising lesson plans to focus on students’ specific needs.

Following a successful marketing career, I launched Hivestead at the start of 2023. This business encompasses my passion for teaching English as a foreign language as well as private tutoring for English GCSE and A-Level exams.

After completing an extensive training programme with an industry-leading provider, I received my Level 5 qualification for teaching English as a foreign language (accredited by DEAC, BAC, Ofqual, ODLQC and SQA). With modules in Business English, teaching online, efficient lesson planning and more, this programme rigorously assessed my ability to teach English to the highest standard. Combined with my own experience, student reviews and promise to customise each lesson to fit every student, I believe that I can provide the best possible English lessons!

Furthermore, I was trained to coach others in how to write fantastic CVs, complete outstanding job applications and perform well in interviews. Combined with my Level 5 Business English training, I now offer job application assistance and specific Business English services.
